This five door Ford Fiesta is used by Hampshire Police.

Here we have another Ford Focus estate. This model does not have the rear fitted dog cages as seen above. It is operated by the Northern Constabulary.

This Ford Transit Connect is also a police dog unit demonstrator. It is unusually fitted with only one blue rotating bacon on the roof. It has access to the dog caged from either the rear doors or the side sliding doors.

This is another demonstrator form Ford, except this time a Mondeo estate.

We start this section with an extremely quick Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII. This car has a 2 litre turbocharged engine producing 261 BHP. This enable the car to reach 60 MPH from a standing start in 5.1 seconds.



The front view of this menacing machine. Few vehicles can keep up with this four wheel drive rally car. It has a top speed of over 150 MPH.



The rear view. Be warned, this vehicle has been fully approved by the Home Office for police use.

We now slow down the pace some what with this Skoda Superb.

This un-registered Vauxhall Zafira is used for the transportation of Police dogs.

BF53 WKG is a specially modified Honda motorbike. Wearing a minimal police livery, it is designed to be used as a mobile speed camera unit. Notice the speed camera logo on the wind deflector.



From this view you can see the camera assembly on the rear top box of the bike. It folds neatly away into the box when it is not in use.

This blue long wheel base Mercedes Sprinter is used as a personnel carrier by Cambridgeshire Police.

Next we have a 2004 Peugeot 407. This car is unusual in having a dark blue paint scheme, like the Mercedes above. This all helps to increase the re-sale value of the car once it has finished its life in the police.

Here we have another 407 but this time with usual white paint. The front end of this car is unusually shaped so that it reduces the chance of pedestrian injury in an accident.

We now have a Peugeot 307, a standard panda car used by Durham Constabulary.



The car carries minimal Police markings and has only one small blue light bar on the roof. There are no repeaters elsewhere on the car.

This is the estate version of the 307. This has more comprehensive police markings than the five door hatchback model above.

This Mitsubishi Shogun is operated by the Metropolitan Police.

Another Mitsubishi, but this time a Shogun Sport. This particular four by four is used by the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

DX04 NFP is another Shogun Sport. It is different to the model above as this model has a bonnet air scoop and a different light bar. It also does not have front driving lights and is coloured white as opposed to silver.

We next have a Volkswagen Passat estate police demonstrator.

We now have the Volkswagen Touareg four wheel drive. This is available with a choice of engines, including an enormously powerful 5 litre V10 diesel.This Volkswagen LT46 van is used for police personnel transport. It is also fitted with a riot shield and light protectors for when it is being used in a hostile environment.



As you can see from this photograph, the air suspension has been fully raised up. This enables the vehicle to have massive ground clearance. It can be lowered to provide more control when driving over tarmac surfaces.

This Volkswagen LT46 van is used for police personnel transport. It is also fitted with a riot shield and light protectors for when it is being used in a hostile environment.

We next have a Volkswagen Caddy van based on the fifth generation of the Golf. This vehicle is seen here in very minimal markings.

This is a Skoda Octavia vRS. It is powered by a turbocharged 1.8 litre engine giving it a top speed of over 140 MPH.

RV02 CCZ is a 5 door Honda Civic designed to be used by Special Constables. The vehicle is sponsored by Honda.

A12 FNC tows an Iron Horse Security mobile barrier, equipped with two rotating blue lights. The barrier folds out from the trailer to seal off a street or other area. It can be used for crowd control at riots, at sieges, at football matches or at motorway incidents to stop rubber-necking. The unit can be deployed by two people in under 15 seconds.

N161 RDD is a preserved Volvo 850 T5 owned by a Police Vehicle Enthusiasts Club member.

M859 AWS is a preserved Vauxhall Senator traffic car.

We start this section with a Peugeot Expert van. It has an vector-shaped shape light bar which is more commonly found on traffic cars. It also has repeaters in the front bumper and grill.

WP04 XFW is a Mitsubishi L200 pick up fitted with a hard back.



The rear view of a similar L200 truck. This is again fitted with a Truckman hard back. This particular model is operated by Wiltshire Police.

AO52 UXW is a Santana 4×4 used by Norfolk Police. This is essentially a revised and modernised version of the series 3 Land Rover built under license in Spain. Notice that this vehicle is not equipped with blue lights and has minimal livery.

RX52 MHM is an 2002 BMW 5 Series. Notice the repeater lights on the bumper, grill and door mirrors.

LX53 AWC is another BMW 5 series, except this time in estate form with a diesel engine. This particular vehicle is used by the Metropolitan Police.
