An example of a fire brigade mountain bike. It has fire markings on the frame and a small bag on the rear to carry paperwork and a digital camera. The bikes are sometimes deployed to identify possible arson targets such as abandoned cars in remote areas. The camera and paperwork are used to record the location details and normally the local council will be advised to move the potential fire hazard.

This red Specialized mountain bike has four blue lights fitted to the front as well as a small siren. It has been decked out in bright yellow striping and even the saddle has a picture of flames on it. The bike is not operational – it was specially built for a police, fire and ambulance cycle race up the Brooklands hill-climb course in Surrey.
This old fire bike was used in days-gone-by to test fire hydrants. It carries a connecting pipe and a short length of hose.
