This Firefly hovercraft is used by Avon Fire and Rescue Service. based at Weston-super-Mare fire station. It is designed for use along the shoreline between Brean Down and Sand Bay.
The craft is piloted from the front whilst at the rear there are three dedicated seats fro additional crew members.

As well as being fitted with blue lights there are a number of search lights which can be used during night time rescues.

Here is a photo of two Avon & Somerset cycle officers on the Bristol Downs. Their bikes are Marin Nail Trails and each officer is allocated there own bike which is set up to suit them. Notice how the officers’ collar numbers have been moved to the right breast and ‘Redland Police’ is written on the cross bar, showing which station they are based at.

This vehicle was a original prototype from Range Rover and has a higher than normal back. Only seven prototypes were made and there are only two left. The other one has been converted into a camper van.

WX07 KFK This is a Ford Fiesta used by PCSOs in Avon & Somerset. It is primarily used to get officers to the start of their foot beat. This Fiesta is run by the Safer Neighbourhoods team. This is a Home Office initiative and the car is driven by both police officers and PCSOs. As for warning equipment this vehicle carries a magnetic blue beacon that is applied to the vehicle if stationary at an incident.

WX03 NZY is a yellow Mercedes Vito that is being used by Avon and Somerset Police. It is a dedicated CCTV unit, hence the wording and the camera in the black pod sticking out of the roof. The writing down the side saying ‘caught on camera’ seems accusing and is written in an unusual font for a police vehicle, Comic Sans.
