The dogs may be left in the car for quite some time unattended. The engine can be left running to power the air conditioning using the runlock system. If anyone attempts to drive the vehicle off, the engine will cut out immediately.
This Ford Galaxy is a Sussex Police vehicle. Its size allows a number of people and equipment to be carried to accident scenes as it is used as a Forensic Collision Investigation unit.

This Triumph Motorbike is used by West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service. As Part of the national Bike Safe scheme, the service aims to use the bike to educate other motorcyclists about dangers of unsafe riding.

GX04 LDC This is a Sussex Police Mercedes-Benz C320 being used to block a dual carriageway at the scene of a road accident in wintry conditions.
Here is an interior shot of an Sussex Police Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. The unmarked car has a range of police communication and database equipment mounted on the dashboard. The video screen in the centre console shows the Sussex Police crest as the background.
This is a Sussex Police Triumph Daytona 675. Unlike many police superbikes, this one is not just a PR machine used at bike shows and so on, this one is fully operational. While it clearly doesn’t have panniers this is not a problem as the bike works in the city of Brighton & Hove and support is always nearby. The lack of on board radio equipment is no longer an issue either with the arrival or personal airwave radios. The R1 has been decked out in yellow base colour with blue chequers over the top and was spotted at a vehicle evaluation day at Goodwood race circuit.

R649 JWY A LDV Convoy motorsport rescue ambulance used at the Goodwood circuit, Sussex.

HNJ 667D A 1966 DMW Deemster. A small fleet of such motorbikes were built in Wolverhampton using Villers 250 cc engines. They were used by Sussex Police in the Lewes area. Notice that the bike carries a front registration plate and only has headlights to the front. Arm signals were used in place of indicators.
A look at the bike from the side. It is now in private ownership by one of the mechanics who originally built it.
The spartan controls show a telephone handset for contacting the control room and two circular duckets for storage.
This small Mercedes Vito is a small control unit. This vehicle is fitted with caravan type awnings on the near and off side to increase the amount of useable space.
This vehicle is used by the Sussex Ambulance Service and has bodywork by MacNeillie. The vehicle is fitted with blue, green, orange and white flashing lights, as well as external work lights.
This police car is temporarily out-of-action due to heavy snowfall. Underneath the snow is a Sussex Mercedes C-class.
GX07 GJF is a police Lotus Exige Sport! This car is shown here in the workshops being prepared for public viewing. It carries Sussex Police’s crests and was used for six months over the summer of 2007 to promote road safety messages.
GX04 LCZ This is a silver Mercedes E320 CDI belonging to Sussex police. It has a six cylinder turbo diesel engine and is decked out in full battenburg markings. It is parked in front of a Vauxhall Movano ANPR van which has free-standing cameras looking down on to the traffic below.
This Mercedes E-Class estate is operated by Sussex Police. This vehicle again uses the standard roof bars as a convenient mounting position for the light bar.
