This 1990 Ford Transit is used as a Hazmat (hazardous material) unit with Dublin’s Airport Fire Service.

98-C-19882 This Toyota is used for fire duties at Cork Airport. It has a split amber/blue light bar as well as loudhailers and a rear-facing information matrix. Also notice the winch on the front.

111 SZK This old fire appliance was supplied by the Ireland-based Timoney company. You can see that the bright paintwork has faded on the front of the appliance and the blue and amber lights are sparser than modern equivalents.

93-C-6156 This airport carsh tender is a more modern Timoney vehicle. As it drives past an aircraft, you can see the roof-mounted water / foam monitor. A smaller monitor is mounted on the front of the cab. You can see that some short extension ladders are mounted on the side of the vehicle, and the lid on the exhaust (on the roof) has lifted up with the power of the engine.

81-C1688 This airport fire engine is a Javelin. Despite its age, it was still operational in 2006. These vehicles typically travel very few miles in their lives.

87-C-9610 This massive orange fire appliance created by Timoney is the third of five appliances that are with the Airport Police Fire Service at Cork. Notice how the four front wheels steer the twin-engined vehicle.
