Here are four police outriders riding BMW R1150RS motorbikes. They are all party of the Special Escort Group (SEG) whose primary role is to escort vehicles in the London area. The bikes are minimally marked and they rarely use sirens. Also shown is the rear view of the bikes, showing the personalised registration plates, all showing SEG. Previous models which ran on the prefix-style registrations also all had plates ending SEG. One of the bikes in use stopping traffic at a junction while an escorted vehicle approaches. Notice the officer is carrying a sidearm. |
