Z-999-MAN This Mini is used by the Isle of Man Fire Brigade as a publicity vehicle. All of the bodywork is given over to flame effects and their sponsor’s logo Zurich Insurance. Small blue flashing light are fitted to the front grille and rear parcel shelf.

JMN-999 This silver Ford Focus is used by the fire service on the Isle of Man. Complete with its appropriate “999” registration plate this can is shown outside Douglas Fire Station in the capital of the island.

999-EMN This is another silver Ford Focus used by the IoM fire service personnel.

NL09 CVW This Ford Ranger is with Durham and Darlington FRS.

BU56 DYC is a MAN based appliance used by the West Midlands Fire Service, based at Ward End, Birmingham.

This Renault based Fire Incident Command Vehicle demonstrator has been produced by Kinetic Specialist Vehicles and Plastisol UK.

DK58 HNJ is a Land Rover Defender 110 used by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service. The vehicle is used to carry specialist equipment used for water rescues.

KX09 JHA is a combined pumping and aerial ladder platform appliance operated by Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Q536 RFEthis Haggland BV20 all terrain vehicle is used by Northampton Fire and Rescue Service to reach inaccessible locations. The vehicle wears blue LED lights on its front above the head lights.

NK56 LJE is a Ford Galaxy fire car.

KX09 KWN this is a Skoda Fabia estate fire car used by Northampton Fire and Rescue Service. Note the half battenburg livery in contrast to the Ford Galaxy above.

WU09 HDZ Here we have a Mercedes Sprinter fire support vehicle demonstrator built by John Dennis Coachbuilders.

NA52 FWT Here we have a Dennis Sabre appliance with Tyne and Wear. It is exiting the fire station through the rear yard responding to a 999 call.

NK10 DHE This shot shows a John Dennis-bodied Volvo appliance leaving the station on an shout.

P612 WVK This is a Renault / Agloco appliance that is used by the Tyne and Wear Young Firefighters Association. It was donated by Siemens when they closed their nearby industrial fire station.

X839 NPT This is a Tyne & Wear Volvo fire support truck that is being used to transport a rigid inflatable boat for swift water rescue.

KT08 UTC is a Vauxhall Astra that is used by Tyne and Wear for non-emergency transportation. It is advertising the “Safety Works” initiative where the fire service join a multi-agency programme to allow the public to participate safely in realistic situations illustrating everyday hazards and how to prevent them.

HX58 DDF is a Volvo FLL / Emergency One fire appliance based at Cosham in Hampshire.

This North Yorkshire Volvo / Emernecy One fire engine is sporting a large photograph on the side to deter people from using a mobile phone while driving. This advert is sponsored by City of York Council, the photograph shows York and it is on the side of a York-based appliance.

CX09 AEA This Welsh Nissan Navara is being used for fire service work as well as advertising home fire safety checks.

N999 EFS Event Fire Services operate this Fiat Ducato long-wheel base van. It is decked out with red and yellow battenburg markings and has a blue light bar on the roof.

M999 EFS Event Fire Services operate this converted Nissan as a rapid intervention fire appliance. The private registration was previously used on a converted Ford Transit.

WX58 LVE This is a Vauxhall Astra estate fire car. Notice the half-width led light bar on the roof, mounted on top of Vauxhall’s standard emergency vehicle light bar plinth.

NK09 HDY This MAN / JDC rescue pump was new to County Durham and Darlington FRS in 2009.

WX59 BZR This is a Scania / JDC that is in service with Wiltshire at Salisbury. It is one of four identical vehicles with JDC Polybilt bodies that have been posted to whole-time stations.

YL57 OVD This is a West Yorkshire F&R VW Passat. It is decked out with a yellow stripe down each side, which also wraps around the bonnet, following the lines of the bodywork.

BX08 GVN This Renault Master motor home is used by the British Red Cross as part of their Fire and Emergency Support Service (FESS). The vehicle provides an immediate temporary shelter for those who have been displaced by fire.
