GN57 MYG This LDV Maxus is operated by Thames Ambulance Service. It carries a simple green and white checker-band livery. Thames is a private company that was set up by two ex-ambulancemen in the 1990s and is based at Canvey Island, Essex.
Y462 HEC is a Vauxhall Omega ambulance car which is in service with the North West Ambulance Service at Barnoldswick. It is used as a driver training vehicle.
R649 ULT This 1998 Ford Maverick is used by a private events ambulance service to provide medical cover.

C8 EXM is a Land Rover Discovery that is used for medical cover is difficult to reach places by a company called Extreme Medics. Notice the distinctive grey-on-grey side livery and red and grey rear livery.
YJ07 ZXB is an Iveco Daily LWB used by the British Red Cross as a first aid unit. The vehicle features a side mounted awning that can by extended to increase the are where casualties can be treated.

CN57 GKP is a St. John’s Crusader Ambulance decked out in Welsh livery. Notice that the web address is a Wales-specific one and all wording is in English and Welsh.
YX07 NAU This is a Yorkshire Ambulance Service Volvo V50 SD. IT is used as a rapid response vehicle and carries very similar equipment to a traditional ambulance, but in smaller quantities.
LJ08 BSU is a silver Honda Civic IMA. This hybrid petrol-electric car is used as a duty manager car by St. John Ambulance. It carries a number of flashing LEDs around the bodywork, as well as a short light bar on the roof.

YJ03 ZWA This Renault Trafic ambulance is run by Wings Ambulance Service in Bristol. Its call sign is “Medic 8” and it is used as a multi-purpose vehicle as the stretcher can be removed for wheelchair use.
YJ56 XTO is a Volvo V70 that is used as a Emergency Care Practitioner’s response car in the Yorkshire Ambulance Service area.
YJ56 JUK is a Renault Kangoo that is used by St. John Ambulance in Wales.
Here is a BMW X3 2.0d paramedic rapid response ambulance car. It is decked out in a non-specific livery as this is a demonstrator vehicle, part of BMW’s ‘Authorities’ range.
WM07 FXS This black Nissan Pathfinder is used by CS Medical Services UK as an ambulance. It is fitted with a full-width Whelen light bar on the roof, as well as a range of led’s around the bodywork.

SN54 FFW is a Land Rover Freelander that is used as a rapid response vehicle as part of the Scottish Ambulance Service. The light bar is attached to the roof rails which means fewer holes in the roof. This not only makes the fitting easier, but also increases the re-sale value of the car when it is sold to the public after being retired.
YL02 AHO This silver Ford Galaxy is used by Lifeskills ambulance Service as a medical rescue unit.
WX07 MBV is a Vauxhall Astra estate that has been converted by Wilker for use as a rrv by Great Western Ambulance Service.
YS52 CZE and L199 LUM are two support vehicles that are used by Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
LX04 LVC This Citroen Realy is operated by the private M & L Ambulance Service.
P825 VAX This Mercedes Sprinter with U.V.G bodywork is used by the private Abacus Ambulance Service.
LJ53 BWX The London Ambulance Service operates this Vauxhall Movano DTI 3500. It is used to transport people and equipment throughout the capital.

W836 PAP This LDV Convoy 400 minibus is used by LAS as an airside driver training vehicle. Notice the single amber beacon above the blue light bar which is used when the vehicle is driving on runways and taxiways at airports.
LJ56 YVP This Vauxhall Zafira diesel is used for rapid response duties by LAS. Notice how it also has an airside beacon above the light bar much like the LDV minibus above.

SA07 OPH is a Peugeot 307CC. It is seen here with a magnetic London Ambulance Service sign and light bar attached to it. Since this car has an electronically controlled folding metal roof a conventional light bar could not be fitted.
BU04 HVE This Mercedes Sprinter is a specialist children’s intensive care ambulance. The service is operate by CATS – the Children’s Acute Transport Service, which is a division of the St. John Ambulance, in conjunction with the NHS.
YB06 JCU This Nissan Navara belongs to Lifeskills Rescue & Emergency Medical Services. It has a full-width light bar attached to the roof rails and standard ambulance battenburg colour scheme.
YJ57 TLV is a Vauxhall Zafira 1.9 CDTI built by Wilker. The car has racking in the rear for medical equipment and is fitted with a super-slim LED light bar. The car came into service in November 2007 to replace a Volvo S40.
BJ03 CZT used to be a Premier Hazard (light bar manufacturer) demo car. It is seen here decked out as a private ambulance car with CT Patient Transport.
YX07 GXW MediForce operate this beefy Nissan Pathfinder Trek 4×4. It carrier full ambulance battenburg markings and twin led light bars.
L267 NOS is a 1993 Subaru Impreza GL. It is used as a paramedic car at events. It is seen alongside a Land Rover also with Cam Rescue.
KE56 AKY This Iveco ambulance is used by South Central Ambulance Service. Notice how the light bar on the roof is forward-facing only.
