F819 LOO A Ford Granada 2.9 4×4 that is in preservation. It is one of eight such cars that Ford produced and trialled in various police forces. The car shown was loaned to Wiltshire Constabulary in 1988 and was retired in 1991.
The car has many various changes from the standard model, the most noticeable being the aerodynamic casing for the roof-mounted lights. This was revolutionary but ultimately unsuccessful due to the increased cost.

SW08 KXM This is a VW Transporter ambulance that is in service with the Scottish Ambulance Service. In 2013 it holds the record for the most Northerly-stationed emergency vehicle in the UK. It is based at Baltasound in the North of the island of Unst, the most northerly of the Shetland Islands. It’s location, near 61 degrees North, makes it further North than Oslo in Norway.

LK11 GXT Used to launch Queensferry’s inshore rescue boat is this RNLI tractor unit. The yellow tractor has a special feature whereby the driver’s seat and controls can rotate to face forwards or backwards. This is useful as there isn’t much space to do a u-turn on the slipway. On this shot you can see that the yellow rear registration plate appears to be on the front!
