FX58 AVY This is a MEV Hummer HX. It is a scaled down version of a Hummer produced by a company called My Electric Vehicle. It is electric only and is comparable to a golf kart. A client commissioned this design and one of their dealers saw it and ordered another for promotional use.

BV60 AOG This 2011 Ford Transit is used as a nuclear response vehicle. It carries the simple livery of a single blue stripe and no writing on the bodywork.

GX05 OMK This Honda CR-V is used by the Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team. The team has been patrolling the cliffs at Beachy Head since 2004, looking for people in distress at this suicide hotspot. They carry our pro-active patrols and respond to sightings. They use search dogs and trained volunteers to provide 24/7 cover.

The Birmingham Market Police was officially ended in 1976 when the employees ceased to be constables. However the name lives on today as the service continued, although the employees are not recognised as police officers.

YJ59 OPG This blue Land Rover Defender is operated by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service. It carries a simple stripe of battenburg down the sides and a yellow bonnet. Blue flashing LED lights are fitted to the grille and a small blue beacon is on the roof.

D655 DRP This is a 1987 Leyland Redline bus that has been converted into a mobile treatment centre for St. John. It has the same livery as the Crusader ambulances and has two blue light bars on the roof. It was still operational in 2011.

Here are four police outriders riding BMW R1150RS motorbikes. They are all party of the Special Escort Group (SEG) whose primary role is to escort vehicles in the London area. The bikes are minimally marked and they rarely use sirens.

In this set of images we can see some of the vehicles used for a major MR incident. A walker on Ben Nevis has been reported missing for nearly two days. The 20-year old man was ill-equipped for walking the hill and was last seen at 3,300 feet wearing jeans and a jacket.
All of the vehicles shown in this line up are RAF mountain rescue from Kinloss and Valley. Around 50 people were involved in the search that was hampered by darkness and severe weather.

Royal Navy helicopter RESCUE 177 is also involved with a couple of Northern Police dog handlers. SARDA Scotland were already at work up the hill.
The helicopter circles with the door open as the winchman and winch operator scour the landscape for the walker. Unfortunately, six days after the walker disappeared, his body was found.

BUF 792L This Land Rover is privately owned and is decked out in military bomb disposal colours. The red wings indicate this. It is also fitted with blues light on the roof, one behind the grille and two front-facing red lamps. It is one of a number of similar Land Rovers that can be seen at Coalhouse Fort in Essex.
